Web3 Watch: Binance says no more to Bitcoin NFTs despite steady momentum 

Plus, Doodles makes a movie and Dogecoin has a deep order book

Binance announced that it will no longer support trades and deposits of Bitcoin NFTs starting from April 4 and users have been advised to withdraw their Bitcoin NFTs from the marketplace.

Despite this decision, Bitcoin ordinals remain popular among traders. Over $394 million worth of Bitcoin NFTs have been sold in the past 30 days, making it the second most popular chain for NFTs.

In fact, in a recent Franklin Templeton Digital Asset report, it is shown that there has been positive momentum driven in the Bitcoin space by ordinals

Wu-Tang Clan rapper Ghostface Killah has embraced the growing enthusiasm for Bitcoin ordinals, joining the trend with interest. The artist revealed that he will launch an ordinals mint on April 11.

Doodles teaming up with Pharrell, Lil Wayne for summer movie

NFT community and entertainment company Doodles is teaming up with Pharrell Williams (more widely known as Pharrell), Lil Wayne and Coi Leray for an upcoming movie in the summertime.

The movie headlined “Dullsville and the Doodlesville” will be a “storytelling experience,” the NFT project posted in a tweet on X.

Using intellectual property for content and production has become a popular move for NFT projects recently.

NounsDAO and chunks recently provided funding to crypto-native animation studio Atrium to produce the second season of an animated movie called The Rise of Blues. Pudgy Penguins has also revealed its plans to launch an open world for NFT holders in Q1 of this year.
