Sebastian Pedro Bea, OLY, is President of Coinbase Asset Management. Sebastian focuses on building Coinbase AM's investment platform and global client base. Sebastian helps clients understand, access, and stay connected to the investment capabilities of Coinbase AM. Sebastian has 20 years' experience across liquid public markets and institutional investing. Prior to Coinbase's acquisition of One River Digital, Sebastian also served as the Head of Sales and Strategy for One River Asset Management, growing the firm from $1B to $3B aum. Sebastian previously worked at BlackRock (2012-2020), most recently as Managing Director, co-leading investment strategy globally for BlackRock Systematic Active Equity. Prior, Sebastian worked at Credit Suisse (2001-2012), building relationships with institutional investors, delivering the firm’s proprietary data, capital markets product, and firmwide capabilities. Sebastian holds a UC Berkeley double major in English and Economics and is a World Champion and Olympic Silver Medalist, in rowing, for the USA.
